I’m just in a “rampage of appreciation” kind of head space today. I’m so happy that the sun is out, that summer has arrived in Portland. I’m happy that my commute to and from work is so easy. I’m happy to feel strong and vital and alive. I’m so looking forward to walking 5 miles with Peaches this evening. I love that the sky was getting light at 4:30 this morning. And I love that it won’t be dark tonight until 10:00. I really enjoyed my oatmeal and coffee this morning. I’m looking to peanut butter and blueberry preserves for lunch.
It was so wonderful waking up to Peaches this morning. We always set our alarm clock 30 minutes earlier than we actually need to be up just to make sure we have plenty of time to cuddle and smooch in the morning. I’m truly blessed.
I enjoy watching the squirrels play on the weeping birch trees outside my office window where I work. I enjoy the panoramic sky filled with high, fluffy clouds and patches of blue. I like that my computer monitor is in front of the window, so the trees and the grass and the sky are always in view as I work away.
I love that my body is trim and fit. I love my rock hard calves and firm thighs, pumped from months of walking. I enjoy the way my clothes fit me, I love my little tummy. I love the way my dreadlocs are growing in giving me a sexy, funky, hippy, classy look. I like that I still turn heads at 43.
My life is rockin’! It totally rules to be me. And I’m having a great big helping of self-love for my mid-morning snack; it feels so good.
XO,
K
